Hi, it’s Sue McVeigh VA, and it’s day 45 of my Facebook live challenge. It’s Saturday and it’s cold in Melbourne and raining, perfect night to sit around the computer and create social media designs. That’s just me.

I am going to share tonight three tips for a fabulous social media design. Okay, first one is make it simple. Don’t clutter it. Don’t put too much information on there. Make it simple, clear, minimalist if that’s your style, just not cluttered, and in colours that … Your branding colours or colours that reflect the mood of your platform that you’re on, your social media platform. So definitely make it simple.

Two, make it yours. Okay, make it yours. It comes from you. If it is a quote you’re using of someone else’s, credit them with the quote. If you don’t know the source, say. “Author unknown or unknown.” Make it yours by putting a watermark if it is your own image, but also just to put your name or business name somewhere on the post so that when people they may share it, they may see it somewhere that it can be tracked back to you and that’s just free exposure, basically having it out there.

So make it simple, number one. Make it yours, number two. Make it matter, this is the third one and the most important. It has to matter. It has to be educational, inspirational, or it can be personal. Not oversharing, but personal, a passion, something that is relatable to other people. So make it matter.

So they’re my three top tips for fabulous social media design. Make it simple, make it yours, make it matter. So that is me, Sue McVeigh VA, and I will see you tomorrow. Thank you. Bye.
