Hi, it’s Sue McVeigh, VA. And, today is day 68 of my Facebook Live Challenge. A few months ago, I came across some business books that I’ve had for years, since my first business, which was probably 21 years ago. And, these books never go out of style because, basically a good business book will always be easily adapted. This is, Who Moved My Cheese by Dr. Spencer Johnson. And, it was first printed in 1998, so 22 years. And, I love how it says it’s a simple parable that reveals profound truths. It is an amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a maze, and look for cheese to nourish them, and make them happy. Cheese is a metaphor for what you want in life, whether it’s a good job, a loving relationship, money, or a position, health or spiritual peace of mind. And, the maze is where you look for what you want, the organization you’re work in, or the family or community you live in.

This profound book from bestselling author Dr. Spencer Johnson, will show you how to anticipate change, adapt to change quickly, enjoy change, be ready to change quickly again and again, discover the secret for yourself, and learn how to deal with change; so you will suffer less stress, and enjoy more success in your work and in life. That is basically the blurb on the back cover of Who Moved My Cheese; and an amazing way to deal with change in your work, and in your life. And, I think if this year, anything has taught us, it’s to be adaptable to anticipate change, to be prepared, to enjoy change, and to be ready to change quickly again and again. It’s just a really good example of just maybe, forecasting what can go wrong, what can go right, and actually thinking about the business side. And, that’s what keeps us going, and that’s what makes us want to keep working.

We’re in business, and we’re in business to make a living, to make money, and to create abundance. And, in the abundance mindset, there’s enough for everyone. In the scarcity mindset, oh, who’s looking over your shoulder? Who’s taking my client? Who’s looking at this, who’s looking at that. Or, you spend a lot of time looking at what other people are doing in life, or on social media. And as we know, they’re just highlight reels of what life is actually about. So, it’s just keeping an honest dialogue open, and saying we’re in business. And be proud of it, that we’re in business to make money, to make a difference, to serve at our highest level, and to keep our cheese, whatever it may be. To keep it, and to make sure if it disappears, we’ll know where to find it. So, I will read some more another night, but thank you. And, I’ll see you tomorrow. Bye.
